Renewed Families Initiative

The Renewed Families Initiative offers capacity building resources for children, youth, parents and family units within the home, community, or placement. Receiving referrals from, and as a support to, child welfare agencies, mental health centres and community agencies, the Renewed Families Initiative provides:

• Agency support with the implementation of an intervention [learn more]
• Clinical treatments, life skills training and community resource bridging to prevent out-of-home placements or to reunify a child or youth returning to the family home [learn more]
• In-home, community, day and overnight staffed resources [learn more]
• Transition supports for youth exiting care and navigating adult service systems [learn more]

In addition, the Initiative can offer the following stand-alone services:

• Supervised Parenting Time
• 24 hour supervision (in-home, hotel or community settings)
• Education Learning Coach
• Youth Transition Worker

Therapeutic Services

The following services are facilitated by a Child and Family Therapist (MSW, RSW) and include:

• Anger Management Therapy
• Reunification/Reintegration Therapy
• Individual or Family Counselling
• Parenting Course for High-Conflict Relationships
