Reunification Therapy Application Process

1. Parents are to each complete and submit the reunification application form , under the registration tab on Renew’s website, along with all supporting documents (e.g., Court Order, Parenting Time plan, OCL report, CAS report, etc.).

2.  The administration fee for service is $300 + HST. Additionally,  a retainer of $2775 (15 hours at $185.00/hour.) is required to cover the Clinical Intake Consultation (CIC), which includes:

• A review of the completed intake materials and selected and relevant documentation such as Court Endorsements, Minutes of Settlement, a s.30 Assessment Report, Court Orders and/or judgements. 
• Interviews with parents, lawyers, and family members (including children) as required by the intake clinician to acquire a sufficient understanding of the clinical issues;
• and, in some cases, contact with other professionals previously involved with the family, to expand the clinician’s understanding of the clinical issues, or to consider the nature of any previously attempted therapeutic services.

3. The CIC may vary in nature and length. Meetings are scheduled with the parents, starting with an individual meeting with each parent, or in some cases a joint parent meeting, and possibly meetings with the other family members individually or in combination.

4. Upon completion of the CIC, a family therapy intervention plan will be provided and a new retainer, adding up to 20 hours of services ($3700) will be required. Any unused potion of the CIC retainer will be applied, or returned at the end of service.

5. Severe parent-child contact problem cases, regardless of the cause of the problem, are unlikely to respond to the form of family therapy as outlined by Renew. In such cases, Renew will recommend other clinical or legal interventions as a precursor to Reunification Therapy.
