Hope and Healing: A Support Group for Children of Separating Parents
Watching your child navigate the changes that come with separation or divorce can be heartbreaking. You want to support them but knowing what to say or how to help isn’t always easy. That’s why we’ve created Hope & Healing—a six-week children's support group in Vaughan led by experienced Child and Family Therapists. Designed for children ages 9 to 11, this group provides a safe, supportive space where children can connect with others who understand what they’re going through.
Through engaging activities, guided conversations, and child therapy techniques, children will learn to express their emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies for divorce and separation. Our goal is to help them feel heard, supported, and empowered as they adjust to changes in their family.
Co-parenting after separation isn’t always easy, and finding the right child therapy for divorce can make a big difference. If your child needs extra support during this transition, we’re here to help.

Meet Our Facilitators
As Social Workers, we've sat with many children who are trying to make sense of life after their parents separate. Some feel stuck between two homes, some miss the way things used to be, and others aren’t sure how to talk about what’s on their mind. No matter what your child is feeling, we want them to know they don’t have to figure it out alone.
We are Teresa and Sabrina, Child and Family Therapists with Renew who specialize in child therapy for separation and divorce. We’ve spent years supporting children through big life transitions, and we understand how confusing and overwhelming this time can be. That’s why we’re here—to offer guidance, encouragement, and a space where children can process their emotions in a way that feels safe and natural.
Through engaging activities, open conversations, and child therapy techniques, we help children build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and feel more confident in their ability to navigate change. Hope & Healing is more than just a support group—it’s a place where children can be themselves, connect with others who understand, and take steps toward healing.
