Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for Family Law

CPD for Family Law

How Legal and Family Supports Can Work Together
We’d like to invite you to a complimentary 1.5-hour CPD session, eligible for Substantive CPD credit. This session is designed for lawyers supporting families navigating conflict and separation.

At Renew, we support families through supervised parenting time and a range of individual and family-based therapeutic interventions. These services form part of the wrap-around supports we provide to help families move forward. Because the legal and family support systems often intersect, this session focuses on practical ways both can work together to keep the child’s well-being at the centre.

What You’ll Take Away:

  • A grounded understanding of what supervised parenting time looks like in practice, including how it supports related court-ordered plans and helps stabilize family routines
  • Strategies for fostering collaboration between legal professionals and service providers to promote child-focused, safe, and meaningful visits
  • Key considerations when working with high-conflict families or when children resist or refuse contact with a parent
  • Understanding the procedural implications for supporting children with exceptionalities or when mental health concerns, substance use, or allegations of misconduct are present
  • How to recognize when supervised parenting time may not be appropriate, and how to approach next steps in those situations

Flexible Scheduling:
This training is offered on the third Thursday of every month and can also be arranged as an individual session, with colleagues, or as a firm-wide training. We’ll coordinate together to find a time that best fits your schedule.

How to Register or Inquire:
To inquire or schedule a session, you can:

  • Call us directly
  • Complete the CPD Registration Form under the Intake Form menu option
  • Email us at info@renewsupervision.com

If you’re ready to register, simply go to the Fees & Services section in the menu bar, select CPD Workshop, and follow the prompts to complete your registration.
