Supervised Access

Supervised Access Visits (Supervised Parenting Time)

Supervised Access Visits, also referred to as Supervised Parenting Time, are designed to facilitate safe access between a child and a non-custodial parent. Renew believes that access visits are opportunities for non-custodial parents to demonstrate their ability to successfully parent their child and, with time or additional supports, transition from supervised to unsupervised access.

To facilitate this goal, we work closely with our families, lawyers, and Renew’s team of supervised access facilitators, family coaches and therapists to offer access visits that are child-centred, to offer capacity-building opportunities for parents, and to provide alternatives when visitation plans fail.

Renew’s access services occur within the home, community, or online through phone or virtual platforms.

To discover how you can plan for your access visit based on your child’s age, review the Parental Guide available on our website.
